Tetsuo Kondo & Transsolar, Corderie, 2010
A collaboration between the artist Tetsuo Kondon and Germany engineering firm Transsolar to create a cloudspace inside a 316-meter-long space in a building at 12th International Architecture Exhibition. The cloud is created by blowing three layers of air into the space at different temperatures. Cool dry air at the bottom layer keeps the cloud up; warm, humid air in the middle creates the dense fog; hot, dry air sits on top. via Flavorpill

Piece from Doug Foster at the Hell’s Half Acre show in London, which looks amazing.
More information from Cool Hunting:
An impromptu reconstruction of Dante’s Inferno, “Hell’s Half Acre” took place deep in the bowels of London under Waterloo Station, in the dark and musty labyrinthine space that is The Old Vic Tunnels (where Banksy held his Cans Festival). Curated by Steve Lazarides—the outsider and street art specialist behind Lazarides Gallery—”Hell’s Half Acre” showed extraordinary work that at times surprised, shocked, and spooked its audience.
The show was a truly thrilling and visceral experience that made Frieze seem boring, staid and stuffy. Tunnels were filled with an eclectic mix of projected films, sculptures, paintings and installations, each artist interpreting hell with the freedom to reference both Purgatory and Paradise from Dante’s “Divine Comedy.”
